Latest happenings

Wed Sep 2, 2009, 5:05 PM
Well this has been a busy couple of months for us. We have bought a new house and close in early October. We are incredibly excited and can't wait to start that new chapter of our lives. It is an older home in which the previous owner completely reworked the first floor. We have been living in an apartment for the last couple of months and it didn't take long for us to remember that we never want to do this again!
I have also been working crazy amounts of overtime. I know it's not as much as a lot of people work but it's alot more than I'm used to. But considering all of the problems that other people are having with jobs, working a bit of overtime is certainly a nice problem to have.
Now that I have put my last two months into words, it really doesn't seem like all that much, but it hasn't felt that way. Anyway, I hope everyone out there in female muscle land is doing ok and thanks for stopping by.

Triathlons Done

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 5:24 PM
Well, I successfully completed two triathlons in the past two weeks as well as moving the day before the first one (something I would NEVER recommend.) The first triathlon was a sprint triathlon. In a sprint triathlon you swim 750 meters, bike 12.4 miles (20k) and run 3.1 miles (5k). I was very happy with how I did for my first triathlon. I finished in 1 hour 34 minutes.

The second triathlon was the Hy-Vee triathlon in Des Moines, IA and it is an Olympic Length triathlon. You double the distances of a sprint tri for an Olympic tri meaning swim 1500 meters (just under a mile), bike 24.8 miles (40k) and run 6.2 miles (10k). This one did not go as smoothly. I was close to panic by the end of the swim because I was getting tired and I just wanted to touch solid ground. Being so tired only meant bad things for the rest of the race. The bike portion was not as bad as it could have been but since I was using a hybrid bike instead of a road bike I was about the slowest person on the course and I was using more energy than almost anyone else on the course...GREAT! Then came the absolutely dreadful run portion. After only about 100 meters of running, my quads started to lock up and continued to cramp for the entire 6.2 miles. I would run 200 meters and then walk 200 meters. Needless to say, I finished the triathlon in 3 hours 31 minutes but overall I was still happy. I mean come on, how many people do you know that have completed a triathlon, let alone using a crappy hybrid bike.

I will probably look into getting a better bike and then trying the whole thing over again just to see how much better I can get my times. We'll see. Anyway, it's done and I can finally relax.

Finally a red-head

Fri May 1, 2009, 9:33 AM
I have seen a few comments on the message boards where people have been complaining about the lack of red heads and I couldn't help but agree. I have always had a thing for big, tall red heads. So I thought I could help them out a little with a not-so-little lady named Gina. I hope you like her.

Enough Already!!!

Sat Mar 28, 2009, 5:33 AM
OK, I know I said I wasn't going to be that active on here for a while, but this deserves a response! WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE HOUNDING FROM DEVIANTART TO UPGRADE MY ACCOUNT!!! I have gotten several notices from :devart: to upgrade my account in the last few days and it is getting old! I have come to terms with the fact that I do not have all the options available from :devart: but that is an option that they give us. If they want to make everyone get a subscription then FUCKING REQUIRE IT!!! First they censor our pictures because some cob-up-their-ass conservative complains about the content. Then they just remove other pictures because , well who really know why they remove them, they just do. Now they have decided the best way to get people to subscribe is just hound them to death. I am getting sick and tired of this crap. I don't know at the moment what other options are, but I am exploring them and if I find one that is available, do not be surprised if I take it. For the time being, I will deal with the BS that :devart: is dishing out, but that will only last so long.

To lurk or not to lurk

Tue Mar 17, 2009, 4:00 PM
While I've got a couple of pics in the works, they are part of a series that I would like to release at one time. I don't know yet how I'm going to get them all done right, but rest assured I will continue to work on them. Here's the catch though, with recent developments in my life, I am not going to be working on them very quickly. I am trying to sell my house, train for the triathlon, and an increased workload at work means that my time will be VERY limited to do the things I would like to be doing. Updates to my page will probably be minimal for a while and I don't know when they will pick up again.

Thanks,
Scott
